What is a Physical Therapist?

Physical therapists are university trained with doctorates in the field and are experts in injury diagnosis, injury treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation and many other areas of sport and health and fitness.

What do I need to bring?

Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history. If you have them and if they are relevant bring scan/MRI reports, and list of medication. You may wish to bring shorts and t-shirt.

How many visits will I need?

The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough evaluation and assessment, the physical therapist will discuss their treatment plan for the rehabilitation process.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Please bring or wear a comfortable pair of soft, loose fitting shorts and a soft cotton t-shirt or tank top to easily access the area of your body being treated.

How do I make an appointment?

You can get in touch by phone (760)-726-9661 or use the form under the contact page. Alternatively use the quick and easy online booking page, which is the method we prefer.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?

IT DEPENDS, physical therapists now can practice direct access in the state of California and treat clients without referral by a doctor. However, some health insurers require a doctor’s referral before they authorize coverage of fees but in some cases only require a phone call to the physician.

Treatment duration depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your impairments, your past medical history, and other factors.  Re-evaluations will be done to assess your progress and your therapist communicates with your physician to help you achieve your therapy goals.
